Paper carrier bags in a new look: bamboo
The world of packaging never stands still. At Marisan, we are constantly exploring new materials and solutions that align with the evolving expectations of retailers and consumers. That’s why we are now adding a new type of carrier bag to our range: bamboo carrier bags.
These sturdy paper carrier bags are made from bamboo fibre instead of traditional wood pulp. Bamboo is a fast-growing plant, making it an interesting alternative to conventional paper raw materials.
The result? A carrier bag that offers the same functionality as a classic paper bag, but with an innovative material story.
Why bamboo?
Bamboo is increasingly used as a raw material in sustainable products. This is largely due to the way the plant grows.
Bamboo often reaches maturity within 3 to 5 years, whereas trees used for paper production may take 20 to 30 years to grow. This makes bamboo a rapidly renewable resource.
In addition, bamboo fibres naturally have a long and flexible structure. This allows for the production of strong paper suitable for applications such as carrier bags.
A natural look
Besides its technical properties, bamboo paper also has a distinctive natural appearance. Its organic texture and warm tone give the bag a look that fits perfectly with brands aiming to communicate sustainability.
For many retailers, a carrier bag is more than just packaging. It is also a brand ambassador that remains visible long after the customer has left the store.
Suitable for various applications
Bamboo carrier bags can be used for a wide range of applications, from retail to marketing campaigns and events. Like other paper carrier bags, they can also be fully customised with your logo, colours and finishing.
